Garlic Butter Breadsticks

Super soft, buttery garlic breadsticks. Simple, salty, and delicious.

Reserve some extra flour to ensure the dough is a little sticky.

Prepare the dough

Combine all ingredients for dough except flour.

Gradually add flour to the mix, then knead for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Place in oiled bowl, turn dough to coat all sides, cover, and let rise until doubled.

Make the sticks

Divide the dough into twelve portions.

Roll each piece of dough into a 7-inch log.

Place dough logs on parchment-lined baking tray, cover, and let rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour.

Bake at 205°C/400°F for about 12 minutes, or until golden brown.

The butter mixture

Combine butter, salt, and garlic powder in a small bowl.

Once breadsticks are cooked, immediately brush them with the butter mixture.

Don’t make the butter mixture too early! Sync things up so that you finish the butter mixture right before you take the breadsticks out of the oven.
